Sauce Hockey, Pavel Datsyuk Announce Collaboration

Award winning, industry leading designer clothing company announces new signature line with NHL superstar Pavel Datsyuk

PHOENIX, AZ - Sauce Hockey announced today that it has reached a long-term agreement with Russian phenom Pavel Datsyuk. The Detroit Red Wing Star and two-time Stanley Cup Champion will collaborate with Sauce on an exclusive, signature line of products to debut worldwide in late December 2013.

Co-Founder/CEO Eric Kleineck, who helped revolutionize the lifestyle apparel industry by recognizing the connection between hockey, music, art, and fashion, believes the partnership is a perfect match for Sauce Hockey's vision of designer clothing that emphasizes "Living the Sauce Life" - a unique way of leaving your mark on the world that includes never refusing to dream big, work hard, be innovative and inspire others, while also giving back to the communities around you.

"It is with extreme excitement that we have aligned with arguably the greatest hockey player in the world today, Pavel Datsyuk," said Kleineck. "Datsyuk's reputation amongst fans and his peers is impeccable. We look forward to growing his personal brand and telling his story through our products. With the 1st line covered with Pavel Datsyuk and the 4th line covered with Paul Bissonnette, we are now accepting applications for 2nd and 3rd liners."

Sauce brand ambassador Paul Bissonnette, who displays his gritty passion for the game as a member of the Phoenix Coyotes and moonlights as an expert Twitter chirper and social media pro, looks forward to making some room on the bench for another elite hockey personality.

"This is huge for Sauce Hockey," said Bissonnette. "Having one of the best players in the world, who is internationally renowned for his silky hands and world-class play, involved with the company is exciting. But, enough about me. It's cool having Pavel on board with the Sauce Team. He's a good player too."

The announcement of the Datsyuk line comes at a time when the native of Sverdlovsk, Russia figures to be prominently featured at the center of the hockey universe. The four-time Lady Byng Trophy winner and three-time Selke Trophy winner will take part in the NHL's signature event, the Winter Classic against Toronto on January 1, 2014 in Ann Arbor, MI and the following month will make his fourth Winter Olympics appearance when he leads host Russia against the world at the Sochi Games.

"I am pleased to collaborate with such a creative company as Sauce Hockey," said Datsyuk. "I look forward to being involved in the development of my new line of apparel products and hand sanitizer for hockey players with dirty hands."

Founded in 2009, Sauce Hockey's clothing can be seen on professional athletes, musicians, celebrities, or maybe just the dusty, fourth-line pylon in your beer league - but in a few weeks, they'll all have the honor of wearing the personal designs of Datsyuk. What a league.

  • He does not get the credit he deserves for what he does. IMO he is better than Crosby or Ovexkin, because of the things he can do with the puck, but the media cant stop loving Crosby when Dats is clearly the best in the world.
